Last updated: November 2, 2026 (application details added; Meta pixel with consent)
This policy explains how 9502-2752 Québec Inc ("we"), which operates EduFinance Canada, collects, uses and shares your personal information. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.
What we collect
- What you enter in the application: the loan amount and purpose; your name, email, phone number and date of birth; your home address; your income source, monthly income, pay schedule and, if you work, your employer's name, address and phone number and your role; the names and contact details of the references you list; and your consent choices.
- About your references: you confirm they agreed to be contacted. We use their details only so the lender that receives your application can confirm your identity.
- Technical information: your IP address, browser type, the page that sent you here, and advertising tags in the link you followed (such as UTM tags or a Facebook click ID).
- Cookies: one session cookie that keeps the form working and protects it against forgery. If you accept advertising cookies in the banner, we also load the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms), which sets cookies and tells Meta which page you viewed and whether you sent a request, so we can measure our ads. It never receives what you type in the form. It stays off until you accept, and you can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.
We do not ask for your social insurance number or your banking information. If the lender that receives your application asks you to verify your bank account, you do it through that lender's verification service (for example Inverite), not through us; we never see your banking password or account details.
Why we use it
- To pass your request to lending partners that serve your province, so they can contact you about a personal loan. We only do this with your consent.
- To answer your questions and handle requests about your information.
- To measure which ads bring requests, and to prevent fraud and abuse of the form.
- If you opt in, to email you tips and updates about borrowing and budgeting. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
- One lending partner that serves your province, chosen when you send your application, and only so it can respond to it. If that partner cannot take it, we may offer it to another partner instead. Each partner handles your information under its own privacy policy.
- Service providers that host this site and send our email, under contracts that limit their use of your information to providing that service. Your information is stored in Canada and may be processed in the United States by those providers.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We do not sell your information to anyone else.
How long we keep it
We keep your request for 24 months after you send it, then delete it, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or the law requires us to keep it longer.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, to receive a copy of it, or to have it deleted. You can withdraw your consent at any time; we will stop sharing your information, and tell the partners we already shared it with. Write to the person in charge below. We answer within 30 days.
